POPDB is pleased to host Scott Mallinson as our final presenter in the 2022-2023 Online Conference Series. Scott is a writer and student who will be graduating from Burnaby School District in just a few weeks.
Last year, Scott presented at the 2022 POPDB Conference in Richmond, BC. A video of his presentation, Something to Say, can be found on his website. Scott’s presentation on his personal journey to finding his voice and finally getting the “right tools to communicate” brought the audience to their feet. Whether you attended in-person or will be meeting Scott for the first time on May 26, we strongly recommend that you watch the video because this year’s presentation builds on the first one.In this presentation, Scott shares more about his journey through the education system as a deafblind student and challenges educators to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to participate and be understood.
